About Blue
Blue is a striking purebred Anatolian Shepherd with a big presence and the laid-back confidence expected in a true working dog. He started life surrounded by Nigerian Dwarf goats, soaking up early lessons in both play and real guardian work. After spending time as a property protector, Blue returned to the rescue when his playful puppy habits—like chewing on sheep ears—outpaced what his adoptive family could offer. Back at the rescue, he quickly found his footing again, guided by a mature mentor and settling into routines of perimeter checks and polite introductions during meet-and-greets. Blue isn’t built for life on the couch; he’s happiest with space to patrol and other livestock guardian dogs to work alongside. He’ll need at least an acre of securely fenced pasture and a home that values both his instincts and his gentle temperament. He’s proven he gets along with other dogs and thrives where he’s given purpose, room, and companionship. Blue is ready for a family who can appreciate a loyal guardian with a touch of youthful energy still in his stride. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
