Simon is an Anatolian Shepherd living in Whitewright, TX. He is an adult, extra-large, neutered male with experience living indoors and outdoors. Simon is house trained and has learned to thrive as a three-legged dog. His gentle nature extends to both dogs and, with the right approach, likely cats as well.

About Simon

Simon is a striking Anatolian Shepherd who has overcome quite a lot. After being rescued with bullet fragments in his leg, persistent pain led to an amputation. He's now fully recovered and gets around just fine on three legs—he figures things out on his own schedule and adapts quickly. Simon gets along well with every dog he's met, whether young or old, and his house manners are solid. Leash walks are still a learning curve for him, but he does even better when allowed to roam freely. During his early days at Windsong Ranch, Simon showed no interest in bothering barn cats, so with proper introductions he could likely live with cats again, though he will need some reminders about boundaries. He basks in affection and attention and has an unguarded, affectionate nature—he really does soak up all the love you'll hand out. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
