About Patches
Patches is a petite, tan and white Terrier mix, about 7 years old and weighing around 15 lbs. She has a real charm and a distinctive personality. Good with most dogs, she can be a bit picky about which ones she calls friends—she’s happiest with mellow, laid-back canine companions. Patches came out of a tough situation, arriving at her current rescue after being removed from a neglectful environment. She’s affectionate but skips the cuddles, preferring to do her own thing. There’s an independent streak in her, and she shows some classic Chihuahua traits: a little bossy, unlikely to back down if challenged, and clearly set in her ways. While friendly, Patches isn’t a fit for homes with children, and adults with some experience around small, opinionated dogs will appreciate her best. If you want a companion who knows her mind and loves in her own style, Patches is worth a look. She’s spayed, microchipped, current on all her vaccinations, heartworm negative, and kept on heartworm prevention year-round. What are you waiting for? Apply today!

Questions about Patches
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Patches, as a Terrier with some Chihuahua traits, usually does well in a home where adults are around and she has a structured, calm environment. An apartment or house is fine as long as she has her own space and isn't placed with young children.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Patches is small and doesn't require a huge yard; a secure, modest outdoor space or regular walks will keep her happy.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Terriers, especially with Chihuahua temperament as seen in Patches, can be less suitable for homes with children due to their independent and sometimes assertive nature. Patches in particular prefers an adult-only home.
