Meet Darcy! This lovely girl is on a journey of transformation after a tough start in life. Imagine being one of thirteen dogs rescued from a hoarding situation—Darcy knows struggle, but she's ready to share her heart with the world. When you first meet her, you might notice her shy demeanor. She’s a gentle soul who has just discovered the joys of indoor living. Her first time wearing a collar was a magical moment! However, she was initially so frightened by the outside world that she needed a little extra help even to go potty. Despite her shyness, Darcy has a hint of sassiness. Known as the "most likely to escape and create excitement," she made quite the adventure during her two-week escapade, prompting a heartfelt search. Spoiler alert: a delicious chicken leg was the key to bringing her back! Since then, she has been warming up to the volunteers at AGPR who lovingly shower her with treats and gentle conversation. As a smaller female Great Pyrenees, she’s now looking for a forever family filled with patience and humor. Darcy would love to meet any existing canine family members to make sure their vibes match. Having spent her formative years outside, busy city life is brand new for her. She’ll need a family to help her navigate this vibrant world. Think of how these experiences could bond you both!
