This sweet girl is a five-and-a-half-year-old purebred English Springer Spaniel who had a rocky start. After losing her home due to personal circumstances, she spent time living outside in tough conditions. Arriving at rescue, Ellie was underweight and anxious, unsure if she would ever know the love of a family again. Now safe in her foster home, Ellie is slowly discovering the joys of life surrounded by people who care. She’s ready for her happily ever after! Ellie is a Velcro dog, wanting to stay close to her humans no matter where they go. Whether you’re in the kitchen, living room, or even the bathroom, she’ll be right by your side. This affectionate pup loves car rides and will happily join you on all your adventures. She adores children and really shines around them, especially little ones. In her foster home, she enjoys the company of her family’s toddler grandchildren. A household that includes loving adults and kids would be a dream for Ellie. Ellie gets along with other dogs, but prefers slow introductions and a bit of personal space. She has started playing with one resident dog, but sharing toys is still a gradual process. If you have a calm dog who respects her boundaries, Ellie could happily share her space or would be content as the only pet. Fully house-trained, Ellie knows basic commands and walks well on a leash.
