About Sweet Pea

Sweet Pea is a 9-month-old Boxer puppy who exemplifies innocence, gentleness, and a heartwarming sweetness. She entered rescue after not selling at a puppy mill and has thrived in foster care, showing just how much love she has to give. Sweet Pea has hydrocephalus, confirmed by MRI, but you’d never know it from her spirit—she doesn’t let it hold her back at all. While technically special needs, her day-to-day life is filled with toy time, snuggles, and plenty of learning. Currently, she’s working on all the classic puppy skills in her foster home. She’s quiet in her crate, picks up new tricks in puppy class, and absolutely adores toys and cheese. Potty training is coming along, though she’ll do best with a home that can offer frequent potty breaks and a fenced yard for those sudden bathroom urges and the joy of classic Boxer zoomies. Sweet Pea gets along famously with other dogs and is also curious but gentle with cats. She is fantastic with children and enjoys making new friends, though she can start off a bit shy. Sweet Pea’s medical needs are straightforward—a daily affordable medication taken in cheese suits her just fine. There are some uncertainties in her future due to her condition, so her ideal family will be comfortable with possible changes down the road. What she truly needs is someone ready to love her just as she is. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
