About Hazel

Hazel is a sweet large dog who found her way to MCHS because her former owner sadly passed away. At just 2 years old, she's an intriguing mix of breed guesses: part shepherd and possibly hound or even a hint of Rhodesian ridgeback. We’re starting to see her playful, goofy side emerge, though she can be a bit shy when meeting new people. This young lady enjoys an active lifestyle, so she will benefit from regular exercise. Hazel knows a few basic commands but could use some additional training to polish her manners, especially when she's excited. She seems to do well with larger male dogs and can coexist with cats, having lived with one before. Older kids would be better suited for her full of energy and excitement.
