About Acacia
Meet Acacia, a female puppy born on September 8th at the shelter, part of a lively litter of nine. With her mother being a hound mix, Acacia may also have some lab or golden retriever ancestry, hinting at her future sizeβexpected to be large. This little bundle of joy will be ready for adoption around mid-November after completing her vaccinations, which must be arranged with one of our partner vets. The adoption fee covers essential vet work, including spay surgery when sheβs old enough. Puppies like Acacia need dedicated homes willing to invest time and training. Though they learn quickly, families should be prepared for the challenges of puppyhood. Acacia is sibling-friendly, gets along with other dogs, and has the potential to adapt to homes with cats. As a playful baby, she might not be suited for homes with very young children until she learns proper manners. She cannot be left alone for long hours, as puppies thrive on social interaction.
