Deasel gets along well with cats, dogs, and children, making him a friendly addition to any family. Though he has some anxiety and is not fully house-trained, he is eager to learn. About Deasel

Meet Deasel! At nearly four years old, this charming Chihuahua is undeniably adorable. Although he finds himself in a shelter due to a move and landlord situation, this little guy is simply scared, yet quite friendly. Rather than retreating from people, Deasel seeks comfort from them during this daunting time. Once he settles in, we believe he’ll want to be friends with everyone he meets. Deasel has lived with other dogs, cats, and children, and he does exceptionally well with all of them. However, he also has a protective side. His previous owners noted that he tends to form a close attachment to one person, becoming somewhat hyper-vigilant in their presence. For example, in his former home, he expressed discontent when his owner was hugged by someone else. While he’s never aggressive, he does bark and can show anxiety in these situations. For this reason, he might thrive best in a home with adults or even as a solo companion where he can soak up all the love like the little king he is. Deasel is gentle, playful, and snuggly. He’s well-mannered, albeit his barking—typical for Chihuahuas. His previous training was minimal, so a new owner should be ready to work on basic commands and potty training. Although leash skills need improvement, his tiny size makes him easy to carry until he masters it. Deasel is neutered and has received his first vaccinations.
