We thought we were getting a crumpled old matted sea urchin, but under the encasement of mats we discovered the happiest little Shih Tzu puppy, probably only about a year old or maybe less even! Juniper was a urine stained tightly matted mess but never stopped trying to kiss us during her emergency immediate shave down. She never stops moving and she’s definitely got crazy googly eyes that point in opposite directions and make her look even more unhinged. When we say she never stops moving, we aren’t exaggerating- she’s everywhere all at once exploring the house and yard, pacing and bashing her head on the bars if she’s crated, and dashing in circles through your legs as you are walking trying not to step on her. We are going to guess she just lived in a dirty crate with minimal attention and she’s desperate to make sure no one can ever ignore her again. She is a skinny little girl, under 10lbs. She gets equally excited greeting other dogs as she does with people, and some dogs don’t appreciate her rude “jump on your head and try to lick into your mouth” kind of pushy puppy greeting but a playful dog might enjoy her antics. Housebreaking is a work in progress and might take her a little bit to figure out.
