About Michael Scott

Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Meet Michael Scott! At first glance, he might come across as a bit loud and brash, but don’t be fooled—give him a chance and you’ll discover a goofy, lovable character who’s always ready for some fun and plenty of laughs. Michael still has a lot of puppy energy and personality; expect some character growth as he works to improve his impulse control and manners in public, though he’ll likely never be the most conventional dog-boss on the block. He just turned one and was surrendered for being “too hyper”—definitely still in his playful phase! While Michael has been known to bark at new people and was a vocal visitor at the vet, it’s clear his boldness is fueled by nerves and a deep fear of ending up alone. He’s gotten along well with other small dogs in his foster home, who help ease his excitement, and seems like a pup who missed out on early socialization and now tries to make up for it by demanding everyone’s attention. Michael weighs in at just 12 lbs and is a mix of Shih Tzu and Yorkshire Terrier, with a curly apricot and blond coat. He’s up to date on vaccinations and has been neutered, so you won’t be tasked with finding him dates. Michael is currently looking for his forever home from his foster placement at Second Chance Pet Adoption League in Northern NJ. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
