Meet Mabel! Mabel is a sweet little lady, around 5 years old and weighing just 12 pounds, who is ready to discover what it feels like to be truly loved and cherished. Despite what appears to have been a difficult past, Mabel has so much love to give. She is a devoted little companion who wants nothing more than to be close to her person. She'll follow you wherever you go, happily curl up above your head at bedtime, and gently nudge you when she'd like to be picked up and carried around. Being close to her favorite person is her happy place! Mabel is especially fond of women and fearful of men, so she will need a patient, understanding home where she can feel safe and comfortable without being pushed beyond her limits. She also struggles with separation anxiety and would do best with someone who is home most of the time. Having another confident, friendly dog in the home would be a wonderful benefit, helping her feel more secure as she continues to build confidence. Mabel is mostly potty trained but may still have occasional accidents. And one very important thing about Mabel... a good window is a MUST! She absolutely loves watching the world go by and can happily spend her day keeping an eye on everything outside. Mabel may need a little extra patience and understanding, but underneath that uncertainty is the most loving little girl. She deserves a quiet, secure home where she can feel safe, be someone's constant companion, and finally enjoy all the love and comforts she's always deserved.
