Meet Ruth! At 6 years old and just 9 pounds, this tiny girl has so much love to give! Ruth is a super-sweet, curious little lady who may take a bit of time to feel comfortable, but with patience, kindness, and lots of TLC, she’s sure to keep blossoming. She’s very attached to her people and would love a home where someone is around more often to give her plenty of companionship and affection. Ruth gets along with other dogs and would do best with a small dog companion. She can be a little protective of her favorite humans and may growl or nip when she feels uncomfortable, such as when someone tries to pick her up, but she can be redirected. She’s also a bit nervous with new people and needs time to warm up. Ruth is crate-trained, has occasional potty accidents, and is still learning to feel comfortable with a leash, which currently frightens her. A securely fenced yard would be ideal so she can safely enjoy the outdoors without the stress of leash walking. She is small dog and kid friendly, cats are an unknown. This little 9-pound sweetheart needs a patient, loving home that will let her blossom at her own pace.
