About Chickpea
Meet Chickpea! This approximately one-year-old, nine-pound Terrier mix is currently searching for a loving home through Chi Town Rescue in Phoenix, AZ. Chickpea arrived at the shelter feeling very fearful, often shying away from humans or reacting with nips when approached. Over the past two months, she has started to come out of her shell, showing enough progress that she is now available for adoption or foster. However, Chickpea is still wary of new people, so she requires a patient family thatβs willing to let her take her time adjusting. A secure yard for play and potty access is essential for her, and she should not be in a home with young children. Although she's not yet leash trained, gradual exposure will help her learn. Chickpea enjoys the company of other dogs, and having a canine buddy in her new home could make the transition much smoother for her. Chickpea has already shown quite a lot of improvement and will likely continue to flourish in a supportive environment. Could she be the one for you? Start your journey together! Apply now.
