About Rip

Meet Rip, a 3-year-old, 80-pound black and tan German Shepherd with a heart as big as he is. He’s currently recovering from a car accident and will be looking for a forever home only after he's fully healed. Despite his limited movement right now, Rip remains a gentle giant who adores people, kids, and dogs, as well as cats, with whom he loves to spend his time. While he may still be getting back on his feet, his loving and playful nature shines through. Rip is both kennel and potty trained, rides well in the car, and has shown himself to be a wonderful companion in his foster home. He stays calm despite neighborhood distractions, taking life in stride. Eager for love and attention, he's not familiar with many commands yet, but Rip is ready to learn and shower his family with affection. If you’re searching for a loyal friend who just wants to be close to his people (and maybe some cats too), Rip is waiting for you. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
