About HUGO great wcats and

Meet HUGO! Hugo is a charming chihuahua mix, weighing in at about 10 lbs. At around 2 to 3 years old, he's the perfect travel companion. His adorable wide eyes, furry ears, and distinctive little underbite make him irresistibly cute. Hugo's personality matches his looks: he's sweet, smart, gentle, and quiet. Currently fostered with both dogs and cats, Hugo gets along well with everyone, even though he often finds himself on the run from the very cats he's supposed to be friendly with. His calm nature shines even in a house full of other pets. Having lived with more than 20 dogs before, he's well-socialized and knows how to read social cues. Hugo is 100% house trained and signals when he needs to go outside. He loves to entertain himself with squeaky toys, and his signature sploot move is absolutely adorable! He's great with humans, and while he's a bit shy when meeting new people, he opens up quickly for belly rubs and cuddles. While he hasn’t interacted with young children yet, his gentle demeanor suggests he would be fine with them. This little fellow has no separation anxiety and can be left alone peacefully. He sleeps soundly through the night, whether crated or gated. Currently, he's learning leash manners and is doing fantastic! Hugo is neutered, vaccinated, and ready for his forever home. He’s waiting for the right person to come along and scoop him up! *Note: Hugo is in Puerto Rico but can fly to many locations in the U.S. once adopted. Feel free to reach out per email with any questions or to arrange a virtual call with his foster.* Your new best friend is just one click away.
