With wide little eyes, furry ears, and a slight underbite, he has an adorable look that will melt your heart. Hugo is sweet, smart, and gentle—an absolute delight. Currently, Hugo is in a foster home with multiple dogs of various sizes and three cats. He gets along wonderfully with all of them, although he’s a bit intimidated by the cats, who amusingly chase him away. He’s been around many dogs before, making him well-socialized and attentive to social cues. There’s no resource guarding with Hugo. He shares his food without a fuss. He’s completely house trained and will even signal when he needs to go out. This little guy loves toys and has a knack for entertaining himself. His favorite stunt? Splooting—his signature move that’s simply too cute to resist. Hugo has a welcoming demeanor towards humans, and while he’s a bit shy initially, he warms up to new people quickly. Expect a gentle, reserved friend who appreciates belly rubs once you earn his trust. Quiet by nature, he’s a good candidate for apartment living. Additionally, he enjoys eating fresh chicken pieces, a treat he loves to savor from a hand. He doesn’t show any signs of separation anxiety and can be left alone comfortably. At night, he sleeps soundly in either a crate or a gated area. Hugo is neutered, vaccinated, and ready for a loving forever home. Plus, there's a chance for a virtual call with his foster. Hugo is currently in Puerto Rico, but he’s eager to fly over to you once adopted. If you’re ready to add a loyal companion to your life, now’s the time to check him out!
