About Catalina

Catalina is an eight-pound Chihuahua with a delicate frame and those unforgettable ears. At five years old, she came to us from the Craven Pamlico Animal Services Center in New Bern, North Carolina, alongside her housemate Salma, whom we believe is her daughter. This little girl is shy and takes her time warming up to new people. She prefers forming a deep bond with her human over making friends with everyone. Catalina might initially appear nervous around strangers, so she’ll thrive with someone who can provide the patience and understanding she needs. For those experienced with Chihuahuas, her behavior will come as no surprise. Despite her cautious nature, Catalina is friendly with other dogs and would do well in a home with compatible doggy companions. While she may be a bit reserved, the reward of earning her trust and affection is well worth the wait. We're seeking adopters familiar with Chihuahuas, who can appreciate her gentle ways and make her feel secure. Catalina doesn’t need everyone to adore her; she just needs that special someone willing to give her the time she deserves. Catalina is healthy, spayed, fully vaccinated, and house trained.
