Meet Espresso, better known as Bean! Bean is an affectionate and playful 4-year-old large American Bully and Staffy mix, currently weighing about 70 pounds. He has been at the shelter since May 2025 and has won over the hearts of the volunteers. This friendly boy enjoys walks, adventure outings, and loves being around his people. While he’s crate trained and familiar with basic commands, Bean thrives best in a structured routine. He can get a bit mouthy when excited and needs an experienced handler to keep him focused and engaged. Given his temperament, he would do well with older children aged 16 and up but cannot live with male dogs; careful introductions to a female dog may be possible. His relationship with cats is uncertain. Bean requires a committed home that prioritizes exercise and mental stimulation. He needs ongoing anxiety support with medication and a special diet. His new owner will also need to begin training with a BFAR-approved trainer soon after adoption. With the right guidance, Bean can become a loyal and loving companion.
