About Jane Fostered in KC

Meet Jane! She's a sweet, approximately 9-year-old Basset Hound and English Springer Spaniel mix searching for her forever home. Her previous owner, an elderly individual, had to move overseas and sadly left Jane and her brother Jake behind. Don't be fooled by her age—Jane still enjoys her daily walks and playing with toys. She's past the puppy stage of chewing on everything and now knows how to have a good time without turning her belongings into chew toys. Once she gets to know you, Jane becomes a loyal companion, always by your side. Currently, she is recovering from a UTI and working hard on her house manners. She's been doing well, letting her foster family know when she needs to go outside. As she continues to improve, we expect her occasional accidents to be a thing of the past. Jane is also on a weight-loss plan, and it's showing! She's slimmed down enough to fit through the dog door, and her foster family is guiding her as she learns to use it independently. Jane has discovered the comfort of blankets and soft dog beds, quickly making them her favorite relaxation spots. She is fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, and spayed. Jane is a gentle and affectionate girl who dreams of a home where she can spend her days close to her family, enjoy leisurely walks, and snuggle up in a cozy bed. She'll also make sure you're aware whenever it's mealtime or her water bowl needs a refill—she takes her responsibilities very seriously! If you're looking for a loyal companion with plenty of love and personality to give, Jane may be the perfect match for you! Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
