About Harley

Harley is a 6-year-old German Shepherd/Red Heeler mix with a calm, devoted nature. She’s deeply loyal, house-trained, crate-trained, and knows her commands. Around the house, she settles easily and keeps a close (sometimes Velcro-like) watch on her favorite people. Walks and play sessions are highlights of her day, but being near her humans really means the most to her. Harley tends to be a bit reserved with men at first and has a protective streak for her loved ones. When she's unsure or frightened, barking or growling may pop up, but patient, positive intros make all the difference. In her foster home, she's built strong bonds with both her foster dad and teenage foster brother, showing just how affectionate she can be once she feels secure. She gets along well with other dogs of all sizes and personalities. Given her herding instincts, Harley needs a cat-free home and does best with older kids who respect her boundaries. She comes with the option to Foster-to-Adopt, so there’s a chance to get to know her first. If you want a loyal companion who’ll always be at your side, Harley could be exactly what you need. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
