Major (approximately 42 pounds) was transferred to the NHSPCA from an overcrowded shelter in Mississippi. This medium-sized king is a MAJOR babe! He is charming, social, outgoing, and always ready to make a new friend. Our volunteer dog walkers adore him for many reasons, but most prominently because he is an easy walker who walks like a gentleman on leash, which is unusual for a shelter dog of his age. Major was very well behaved for his veterinary exam, adding our veterinarian to the ever-growing Major Fan Club. He was friendly with the dogs that he met at his previous shelter, leading us to believe that he could successfully live with another dog after appropriate introductions. So if you've been waiting for a happy, affectionate dog who loves people, snacks, toys, and pretty much everything he's presented with, come meet Major today! If you'd like to meet Major and all his friends at the New Hampshire SPCA, please visit our Adoption Center during our open hours: 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every day except Wednesdays (closed). Plus, this fall, we will be open until 7:00 p.m. on Thursdays! Have questions? Call (603) 772-2921 ext. 110 or email info@nhspca.org today.
