About Betty
Betty is a petite 1-2 year old black and rust female Doberman. With an abundance of puppy energy and those adorable natural ears, she brings joy and enthusiasm to any environment. Before arriving at DAR&E, Betty had already experienced motherhood while still being a puppy herself, which shows her resilience. Now in a foster home, sheโs eager to begin her new life. This young girl thrives in an active household that will provide her with the exercise and structure she requires. Being a Doberman, she needs both physical and mental stimulation. Although she is learning her manners, Betty is a quick learner ready to please. She lives with two cats and another female dog, doing great with the dog but struggling with her excitement around the cats. For everyoneโs safety, she is not recommended for homes with cats just yet. Betty is friendly and trusting with women, though she likes to take her time with men. Patience is key; she needs to feel comfortable when meeting new people, especially males. When given the chance to approach at her own pace, she will shower you with loyalty and affection. With a bit of training in basic commands, Betty is on her way to becoming a wonderful companion. She's currently fostered in Silver Spring, MD, and is ready for her forever home. How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Betty and her fellow Dobermans usually enjoy ample outdoor space to run and play. A yard where they can safely explore is ideal for their energetic nature.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
