About Cooper
Meet Cooper, a 14-month-old black and tan male Doberman with a docked tail and natural ears. Weighing in at about 72 pounds, he's an enthusiastic ball of energy eager to embrace life. Cooper has a solid foundation in training and picks up routines quickly. He's crate trained, house trained, and knows commands like sit, down, paw, speak, and drop it. However, like many young Dobermans, he is still honing his manners. He tends to jump up when he gets excited and sometimes tries to counter-surf. His leash skills are a work in progress, although he walks nicely with an easy-walk harness. He tends to get excited when encountering other dogs on walks but has not yet met any in his foster home. We've been informed he is dog friendly. Cooper needs supervision while he plays at home to ensure he doesn't swallow toys, as he is a strong chewer. Although he needs a little encouragement getting into a car, once there he rides well, albeit with occasional attempts to jump into the front seat. For Cooper to thrive, he needs an active home ready to continue his training and provide the mental and physical exercise he craves. A fenced yard where he can safely play and zoom around would make him incredibly happy. He loves playing with toys like the jolly ball, tennis balls, and frisbees.
