About Chowder

Chowder is a charming and spirited little pup we rescued from a California shelter. This lively boy was mainly in a foster home, where he got plenty of socialization and handling. He embodies confidence and joy, bringing smiles wherever he goes. Born on July 1, 2026, Chowder currently weighs around 8 pounds and is expected to be a small dog, likely under 25 pounds when fully grown. His breed is guessed to be a Jack Russell Terrier mix, contributing to his playful and energetic nature. Chowder has been fostered with gentle kids and other adult dogs, showing he gets along well with both. While we haven't seen him with cats, his young age suggests he would adapt well. He's full of playfulness and loves engaging with his toys and humans alike. Chowder also enjoys snuggling and can comfortably settle in at home. He’s learning crate and potty training and is making good progress. An active adopter who enjoys training and outdoor adventures would be a perfect match for him. A fenced backyard is preferred, given his lively energy. Chowder is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and current on all preventatives. His adoption fee includes a complimentary wellness exam at one of our partner veterinary clinics. Chowder is currently fostered in Gresham, Oregon. Ready to make him part of your family?
