Sham is a spirited, approximately 4-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix, rescued from the streets of northern California. Standing at 12 inches and weighing 14.7 pounds, he's a compact little guy ready for adventure. Sham is house-trained and can navigate dog doors. While he might whine for a moment when crated, he quickly settles down afterward. He enjoys walks and is a happy passenger in the car. Sham gets along well with his foster family's dog siblings and is friendly with people. Although he may be vocally reactive to other dogs while on a leash, he can benefit from positive reinforcement training. One thing to note: Sham is partially deaf but responds to specific sounds and is eager to learn hand signals, showcasing his smart nature! Sham thrives in an active home, perfect for hikers, and he requires a securely fenced yard. Unfortunately, he does not get along with cats, and living in apartments or condos isn't suitable for him.
