Sham is an approximately 4 year old Jack Russell terrier mix who was picked up as a stray in northern California. He is 12 inches at the shoulder and weighs 14.7 pounds. Sham is house and dog door trained. He will whine briefly if crated, but does settle down quickly. Sham loves going for walks and rides happily in the car. He gets along well with his foster family dog siblings and is happy and friendly with all people. Sham can be vocally reactive on leash around other dogs, but a good positive reinforcement training class would do wonders for him. Sham is partially deaf - not completely deaf, he does respond to certain noises and sounds - but he is also extremely receptive to learning hand signals. A smart boy! We are looking for a medium to high-exercise home - hikers welcomed! with a securely fenced yard. NO cats and no apartments or condos, please. Sham is in foster care in the Yakima area. Transport can be arranged anywhere in the Pacific Northwest for the right adopters. His adoption fee is $200.
