About Mac

Meet Mac, a 3-year-old Shih Tzu mix, possibly with Lhasa Apso, and a heart full of love. At around 22 lbs, he enjoys cuddling, going for walks, and playing with his cherished stuffy toys. While he may appear a bit shy initially, once you’re in his circle, his sweet and playful personality shines through; patience is key as he warms up to new faces. Though Mac sometimes barks or growls when meeting strangers, he has never bitten. Mac is housebroken and gets along well with other dogs, and he’s friendly or indifferent toward cats. Ideally, Mac would love a home where someone is around most of the time. He thrives with older, calm children who understand that sudden movements can make him nervous. Originally, Mac lost his owner and then found refuge with Heart Animal Rescue when a family member decided he deserved a more suitable long-term home. He might take a little time to come out of his shell, but once trust is established, you’ll gain a loyal companion ready to fill your life with love and joy. Could Mac be the missing piece of your family? His adoption fee is $300, and applications can be submitted at www.heartrescueteam.com.
