About Baloo

Meet Baloo, the Alaskan sweetheart on his way to a brand-new life! Having spent most of his year on a short chain in Kotzebue, Alaska, Baloo’s story is just beginning and he’s ready to capture hearts here in the Pacific Northwest. This approximately 1-year-old, 60-pound Husky mix is a playful, attention-loving goofball who’s discovering how wonderful life can be. A team from Banfield/VCA found him living outdoors and eager for affection. They helped him find his way to a local shelter, and he’s now en route to his foster home in Portland, Oregon, with Street Dog Hero. During his journey, Baloo has charmed everyone with his playful antics, chasing leaves and delighting in stick tosses. Baloo craves attention and loves to play, showing signs of a happy, affectionate dog eager to explore his new world. Given his youthful energy and the need for regular exercise, we recommend an experienced adopter familiar with Huskies or similar breeds. Help us welcome Baloo to the Pacific Northwest!
