Mikey is an adult male Corgi, approximately 3 years old, and is small in stature. He has a lovely yellow/tan fawn and white coat. Mikey is not yet altered but is vaccinated. He is currently working on housetraining and enjoys a calm living environment in Flower Mound, TX. He responds well to patient training and is good with both dogs and cats.

About Mikey

Mikey is a charming little guy who arrived at the shelter as a stray, patiently waiting for someone to claim him. After some time with his foster family, he transformed into a delightful companion. With characteristics reminiscent of both Corgis and Chihuahuas, Mikey weighs in at 15 lbs and thrives on a nutritious diet and regular exercise to maintain his health. This playful fellow is always joyful and has an infectious wagging tail. Mikey gets along well with the dogs in his foster home, regardless of their size, and he greets a resident cat with nothing but curiosity and friendliness. He only barks to communicate his needs, whether that’s dinner time or a delivery at the door. While Mikey is making great strides in confidence, he will do best in a calm environment. It might take him a few days to adjust, especially around kids older than 10, but he has a playful side just waiting to shine through. He is currently mastering his housetraining, with positive reinforcement helping him along the way. Mikey responds beautifully to a patient training approach, showing he’s eager to learn and grow.
