About Chaparrito
Chaparrito, or Chapa for short, is a charming one-year-old Staffie mix ready to find his forever home. Weighing in at around 50 lbs, heβs bright, goofy, and full of puppy love. This affectionate boy is both crate and potty trained, neutered, and up to date on his vaccinations and preventative care. He's currently fostered in Mooresville, NC, but can be transported to an approved adopter. Chapa has a playful spirit, especially during his morning zoomies, but once playtime fades, he loves nothing more than to cuddle up with his people. Heβs food motivated, making training fun and engaging for everyone involved. Although he can be a bit stubborn and vocal at times, heβs eager to learn. On walks, Chapa is a joyβhe walks well on a leash, doesnβt pull, and generally knows how to heel. He has a friendly demeanor with dogs, although he prefers the company of female dogs and may need slow introductions with unfamiliar males. Heβs met cats and may chase if they run, so a confident cat and continued training would be ideal. Chapa does well with children, but due to his puppy energy, older kids who understand boundaries are a better match. Chapa has exhibited some separation anxiety and can stay alone for about four hours. Heβs been slowly gaining confidence in the car. The perfect home for him will be patient and understanding, especially with his transition into a new space. Underneath all that playful energy is a lovable companion waiting to shine with the right family. Think Chapa could be the perfect fit for you? Click apply to start the adoption process.
