About Luna

Meet Luna! This spirited almost five-year-old American Pitbull Terrier mix is currently in Amherst, MA. Her joyful essence combines goofy affection with outdoor enthusiasm, all wrapped in a beautiful tan coat with white accents. Weighing in at 65 pounds, Luna has a lovely presence, but it's her gentle heart and affectionate nature that truly shine. Luna thrives on fresh air, exercise, and the company of her favorite people. She loves to walk, hike, play fetch, and swim, making outdoor activities her favorite pastime. After each adventure, she delights in cuddle time with her humans. Luna is friendly with strangers, great with kids of all ages, and comfortably shares her space with cats. This clever girl has formal obedience training under her belt and knows commands like sit, heel, and come. She is house-trained, leash trained, and can handle short periods alone. She enjoys car rides and maintains a happy routine of meals and consistent exercise, which keeps her feeling fulfilled. Luna is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Although she experiences seasonal allergies, she's otherwise in good health. Due to past experiences, she is cautious around unfamiliar dogs but has no issues with the dogs she meets on leash. While she would prefer a home without unknown canine companions, she is best friends with Freya, the dog she currently lives with. If possible, adopting them together would be a dream come true for both. An active family with a fenced yard or commitment to daily exercise would be a perfect match for Luna. Could she, along with Freya, be the snuggle-loving companion you've been searching for? Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
