About Moose
Meet Moose! This spirited one-year-old American Pitbull Terrier mix is a vibrant burst of joy living in Amherst, MA. Moose boasts a handsome white coat with rich brown patches, giving him a striking appearance. Weighing around 67 pounds, Moose is a large boy with an even larger heart. He’s still a goofy puppy at heart, bringing laughter and affection wherever he goes. His favorite way to seek attention is by dramatically flopping onto his back for belly rubs, as if he’s performing in his own comedy show! When he’s not collecting cuddles, you’ll find him proud with a ball, playing fetch, or enjoying his chewy toys. Moose is house-trained and crate-trained, comfortable relaxing in his kennel when left alone. After a good play session or walk, he’s happy to settle beside his people for affection. He knows commands like sit, stay, down, and leave it; his love of treats makes him eager to learn with positive reinforcement. Full of enthusiasm, he can get overly excited meeting new people, dogs, or even squirrels, sometimes forgetting his manners. With consistency and patience, he shows great potential and a willingness to learn. Moose has no history of biting or aggression. He’s compatible with older, respectful children who can handle his happy greetings and is generally friendly with other dogs, though he benefits from thoughtful introductions. Moose has shown curiosity toward cats but no aggression. He’s scheduled to be neutered before adoption, with vaccinations brought up to date. An active individual, couple, or family who enjoys outdoor adventures and quality time will help Moose grow into the remarkable companion he’s meant to be. He’s loyal, rides well in the car, enjoys playtime, and never misses a cuddle opportunity! Could your family be the next chapter in Moose's exciting adventure? Love knows no distance, and Moose is open to long-distance adoption.
