Dude is a handsome yellow lab mix who has experienced an unexpected change in his life. After losing his owner, this sweet boy now finds himself seeking a new family to love him. At around 10 years old and weighing 96 pounds, Dude has much love left to give. He deserves a compassionate home where he can feel secure and loved once again. Walking nicely on a leash, Dude has a good activity level and navigates stairs with ease. He is house-trained and keeps his space clean. Enthusiastic about visitors, he enjoys being around people and seems to get along well with other dogs, although his compatibility with cats and children isn’t known yet. He already knows the command “sit” and is eager to learn more with someone patient and loving. Dude's dream includes a fenced yard for safe play and a companion who will take him out on leash walks. He has a soft, creamy coat and an endearing smile, waiting for a forever home that will embrace him. Recently neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and micro-chipped, he’s also starting heartworm treatment but is otherwise healthy and mobile. A benign lump on his leg is being monitored.
