Meet Zeke! Zeke is a striking young male Rottweiler with a lot of potential. Rescued from an unfortunate situation where he found himself on the euthanasia list at Maricopa County Animal Care, he has shown how friendly and manageable he can be. During his time at the shelter, he interacted well with staff and even trusted the vet for examinations, which is not common for many Rottweilers. His behavior only showed reactivity towards other dogs, but after spending time with him, it’s clear that with proper training and consistency, he can overcome this. On a recent outing, Zeke exhibited patience and focus, sitting calmly outside his kennel even with dogs barking nearby. This shows his excellent temperament. Zeke seems to be around 1-2 years old, and exhibits a smart, gentle, and affectionate nature. We’re still learning about his reactions to small animals, other dogs, and children and will provide updates as he settles in. We believe Zeke is going to be an extraordinary companion who deserves a loving home.
