About Samson

Meet Samson! This stunning 2-year-old German Shepherd has a soft heart and a curious spirit. He can be a bit reserved initially, much like the polite guy at a party who’s unsure whether to join in. However, once he feels comfortable, his gentle, affectionate side truly shines. Samson recently had a great playdate with Mia, a spirited female German Shepherd. At first, he looked a little awkward and unsure around her enthusiastic energy. But before long, he relaxed, flopped over in a dog-friendly gesture, and joined in on the fun—showing that he can play beautifully with other dogs. One of our volunteers took him on a field trip to the arboretum. Although he was unsure about loading into the car, he settled down really well during the ride. Once there, he took his time exploring, sniffing all the plants, and greeting people along the way. He was a bit shy but friendly, showing curiosity about local wildlife without the urge to chase. Samson would thrive in a home that allows him some time to warm up while giving him space to grow more confident. He enjoys the company of friendly dogs and might blossom even more with a calm canine companion to guide him. However, he is also content being your one and only.
