Meet Sheba! Sheba’s striking icy blue eyes will likely catch your attention right away, but it's her loving personality that truly makes her shine. At around 2 years old and weighing approximately 35 lbs, she's the ideal size for someone seeking a companion that's not too big but enjoys being involved in everyday activities. Though we can't confirm her exact breed without a DNA test, the shelter lists her as a Shepherd mix, with some speculation that she may also have Husky in her lineage. Regardless of her background, Sheba is described as a one-of-a-kind girl with an adorable character and an abundance of love to share with her future family. Sheba is looking for a home where she can settle in and build trust. Her affectionate nature makes her a fantastic companion for those who want a dog to join them on neighborhood walks and cozy nights at home. She enjoys the company of other dogs and might benefit from having a canine friend but could also thrive as an only dog with a family willing to give her lots of attention and opportunities for socialization. While She's not been tested with cats, a home with a feline may work with slow, supervised introductions. Her experience with children is limited, so a household with older, respectful kids would likely be the best match. Sheba could adapt well to an apartment or condo as long as her family can provide regular exercise and mental stimulation. It's important for her new adopters to establish a consistent routine and reinforce potty training and basic obedience. Patience will be key while she adjusts to her new surroundings. Currently in a crowded shelter, Sheba's future is uncertain, and she desperately needs a loving home to call her own. If you can provide the affection she has been longing to share, Sheba is ready to give her heart to you. Health-wise, Sheba is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and has tested negative for heartworms. Please note that all dogs, including Sheba, are located in Texas and will be transported to adopters once the adoption is finalized, which is included in the adoption fee. While you won’t be able to meet Sheba upfront, we encourage you to focus on her wonderful personality when considering adopting her. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
