About Zues

Meet Zues! Zues is a handsome young dog who is about 8 to 9 months old and weighs around 54 lbs. While his medical records identify him as an Anatolian Shepherd, it's likely he’s a mixed breed that may include Hound or Pittie. He was found alone as a stray and has been in the shelter since July, missing out on the joys of a home. Despite his rough start, he's a happy and playful pup, eager to learn about life outside of a kennel. He needs a dedicated family to help him transition into home life, focusing on potty training, basic obedience, and socialization. With his youthful energy, Zues thrives on physical activity, mental enrichment, and training. He loves other dogs, making him a great candidate for a home with a canine companion, though he can also adapt well without one. Zues has limited experience with cats, so a household with one requires careful introductions. Given his size and energy, he would do best with older, respectful children who are comfortable around lively dogs. A securely fenced yard would be ideal for him to explore and play safely, although he could still fit into a good home that meets his needs without one. It is important to remember that Zues is still a young dog who needs consistency, patience, and love as he adjusts. The shelter he’s staying in is overcrowded, and he’s been waiting too long. He’s neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on his vaccinations. All dogs, including Zues, currently reside in Texas and will be transported to their adoptive families upon finalizing the adoption. This is an excellent opportunity to give him the loving home he deserves. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
