About Louie
Louie is a 1.5-year-old, 35 lb Dalmatian mix in search of his forever home. Rescued as a stray from California, he came to us terrified and underweight. Louie needs a quiet and calm environment where he can decompress, build confidence, and learn to trust people. Due to his fearful nature, he thrives best in a female-only home, though he may gradually warm up to male visitors. Initially, Louie spent most of his time in a crate, but he is now bravely exploring his foster home. He enjoys cuddling on the couch and is gradually discovering the joys of playtime with toys. While still learning to feel comfortable on a leash, a securely fenced yard would be ideal for his bathroom habits and confidence-building walks. Louie has shown positive signs of engagement with the other dogs in his foster home, though he needs calm, confident companions to help him adjust. He’s made significant strides in foster care, proving to be a sweet boy ready for a loving family. This gentle pup would thrive in a peaceful neighborhood, ideally without young children, but he definitely loves the teenage girl in his foster family. Louie is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $500. Start your journey together! Apply now.
