About Russel
Meet Russell! This handsome fella is a classic Australian Cattle Dog, ready for his forever home. He's a smart boy, packed with energy and eager to be part of your life. At around one year old and weighing about 55 pounds, Russell is both potty and crate trained. He's fully vetted and already knows basic commands like sit, down, and "toy," which he loves to play with. His food motivation makes training a breeze, and he thrives on learning new things. Russell adores other dogs and needs a playful fur sibling to help burn off that lively cattle dog energy. His enthusiastic play might be a bit much for older or more laid-back dogs, so keep that in mind. Oddly enough, his favorite thing is a bucket of waterโhe would much rather play with that than a pool! Russell needs an adopter who understands cattle dogs. Heโs friendly and loyal but can also nip and test boundaries; heโll need a family that provides structure, exercise, and training. In return, you'll find a fiercely loyal companion who will be by your side through thick and thin. Russell is currently in Houston, Texas but is available for adoption and transport throughout the country.
