About Atlas
Atlas is a loving cattle dog rescued from a Houston-area shelter, ready for his forever home. He's friendly with all dogs and enjoys playing with those his size, but he thrives in a calmer environment. While he enjoys the company of a canine companion, he can also be happy as an only dog, provided he gets plenty of attention and mental stimulation from his humans. This affectionate boy loves neck scratches and will take some time to warm up to new friends. Once he trusts you, he'll be a loyal companion for life. Atlas is well-suited for older, respectful children who understand dog boundaries. He’s not suitable for homes with livestock, as his herding breed traits come into play. Atlas needs a patient, loving home that will respect his pace in building trust. He’s about 3 years old and weighs 35 lbs. Currently fostered in Houston, Texas, he is available for adoption across the country, including transport. His adoption fee is $600, covering transport and his full vaccination, neuter, and preventatives. If you're ready to bring Atlas home, apply today!
