Meet Ruby, a lovely four-year-old Australian Shepherd with a stunning blue merle coat and an abundance of personality. This medium-sized girl is full of energy and affection, making her a great companion for anyone who enjoys an active lifestyle. Ruby thrives outdoors, loving everything from hiking and camping to beach outings and car rides. Fetch is her favorite game, and she would greatly benefit from a home with a securely fenced yard where she can freely play and explore. After a day of activity, she enjoys relaxing indoors by your side, whether lounging on the couch or unwinding on the patio. Ruby is house trained and prefers a home where she can sleep inside, possibly sharing your favorite spot on the sofa. Being a sensitive soul, Ruby needs an adopter who understands canine body language and respects her space. She's best suited for a patient household—ideally one with older children (12+) who can appreciate her boundaries. Ruby has shown some reactivity on a leash, but she responds well to positive training. Her new family should be committed to furthering her training, providing structure and plenty of physical and mental stimulation. Although she would be fine with a calm, submissive dog after careful introductions, Ruby should not live with cats. Her current family loves her dearly but believes she deserves a home that better suits her unique needs.
