About Jack

Jack is a seven-year-old male Shih Tzu with a soft gold and white coat. He came to us from a home with children and does well with them. Jack's temperament is easygoing; most of the puppy energy is behind him, leaving a small, steady dog who wants to be part of family activities. He would suit both a family with kids or a quieter home. However, Jack does have some needs. In his previous home, he didn't receive as much attention, leading to occasional accidents and some chewing. He'll thrive with someone home for a good part of the day, providing him with a steady routine and regular outside trips. His coat requires routine grooming too. While he gets along well with dogs, he hasn't met any cats yet, so we can't predict how he would behave around them. To meet Jack, we prefer scheduling appointments to ensure proper attention for everyone. The shelter is open Monday through Friday from 12 PM to 4 PM, with possible appointments available outside those hours depending on volunteer availability.
