About Scooter
Scooter came to Good Mews after her beloved owner sadly passed away. This sweet senior girl understandably had a hard time adjusting to such a significant change. Initially timid, she’s slowly begun to trust the staff and volunteers caring for her, revealing more of her gentle personality with each passing day. Scooter is looking for a peaceful home where she can feel safe and cherished. She would thrive in a quiet household without dogs or energetic young children, ideally with someone who is home often to provide the companionship she loves. Once comfortable, she shows her affection by rubbing up against you and cuddling. She might also do well with another calm cat by her side. An expert in cozy hideaways, Scooter enjoys snuggling in open cat carriers, covered beds, or under soft blankets. She’s also fond of lounging in cushy beds or perching on cat trees to watch the world outside. You’ll be pleasantly surprised to discover that this quiet girl loves to play with wand toys and indulge in a catnip pillow. Mealtime is more enjoyable for her with company, and she relishes Fancy Feast wet food, although she may nibble on dry food occasionally. Scooter prefers a calm environment, particularly avoiding loud noises like lawn mowers. She’s had the heartache of losing a loved one, and now she’s hopeful for a second chance—a loving forever home where she can settle in, build trust at her own pace, and enjoy her golden years. Scooter is currently in foster care. If you're interested, please email adopt@goodmews.org to arrange a meet and greet!
