About Nelly

Meet Nelly, a 3-year-old, 70-pound female Great Pyrenees mix who's as captivating as a cookies-and-cream dessert. With her striking black-and-white face and dark markings gracing her fluffy white coat, she truly embodies sweetness. Nelly is a tender-hearted girl who craves affection but needs time to feel safe and trust those around her. Having been through a lot, including treatment for intestinal parasites and heartworms, she's on the mend and expects to be ready for her forever home by the first week of November. Nelly enjoys the company of other dogs, especially those who can appreciate her gentle nature. She has made a friend in Kannoli, proving that she longs for companionship, even if she’s a bit shy. When it comes to children, her history is promising, as she was previously wonderful with a 2-year-old, though she still requires gentle interactions and space. Nelly would thrive in a calm environment with understanding humans, where she can ease into relationships without feeling overwhelmed. This lovable girl is more of a homebody, preferring a relaxed lifestyle over adventurous outings. Her playful side peeks through when she's in the yard, expressing her interest in toys and playtime. Nelly seems mostly house-trained, needing some help to fully understand her new routine. She enjoys her independence and thrives in a securely fenced yard where she can roam comfortably. While she barks occasionally, it's not excessive, and she does enjoy her evening snoozes around the house. If you're looking for a gentle soul who will bring joy and quiet companionship into your life, Nelly could be the perfect match. She may not be the bravest of pups just yet, but her heart is full of potential waiting to flourish in the right environment. Ready to give Nelly the love and understanding she needs?
