Left Eye is an 8-year-old Collie/Shepherd mix, weighing about 29 pounds, with a calm and inviting personality. This sweet girl enjoys a peaceful lifestyle, filled with cozy naps and the comfort of having her person close by. She’s house trained and easygoing, often content to curl up in her bed for long stretches. Though she appreciates short walks around the block, long adventures aren’t for her; once she catches wind of going home, she’s ready to settle back into her favorite resting spot. Interactions with other dogs are calm. Ideally, Left Eye would thrive in a home with calm, easygoing dogs or even as the only dog, allowing her to soak up all the affection. However, she does not get along with cats. Left Eye is initially shy, especially around men, but patience brings out her gentle nature. She loves belly rubs and shares a playful side, too, often carrying soft squeaky toys around the house. Though she will howl when left alone, making her less suited for apartments, she truly thrives when someone is home more often to keep her company. While Left Eye has some ongoing medical needs that require medication and regular vet visits, she doesn’t let this slow her down. Recently, she had cancerous tumors removed and is currently on chemotherapy. The rescue will cover her chemotherapy medications for six months after adoption and has sponsored her adoption fee.
