Percy is a 6-month-old, 35-pound Black Mouth Cur mix with a gentle spirit and plenty of potential. He’s still adjusting to life as a family dog, and while he might initially be a bit shy, his confidence grows every day as he learns that he's safe in a loving environment. This young pup thrives in the company of other dogs and would benefit from a playful companion to help him come out of his shell. He also gets along with cats, picking up on social cues quite well. Percy enjoys every moment spent outdoors, whether it's playing with toys or exploring parks. He currently faces some challenges with leash reactivity towards unfamiliar dogs and objects, but with patience and positive reinforcement, he'll continue to improve. Percy's ideal home is one with understanding adopters who can give him the time he needs to feel comfortable. A calmer environment will allow him to adjust at his own pace, and while he hasn't been around children yet, a stable household will help him become the happy, confident dog he’s meant to be.
