About Melvin

Meet Melvin! This charming little guy is part dog, part mop, and fully delightful. Estimated to be around 12 years old, Melvin was rescued after being found as a stray. Despite his age, he’s full of personality and not ready to slow down just yet—unless, of course, it’s nap time! Melvin is sweet and quirky, loving everyone he meets, including little dogs, big dogs, and even children. He hasn’t had a chance to meet cats but we suspect he would greet them with the same laid-back curiosity he brings to everything else in life. Walks are his absolute joy, and with his warm, fuzzy coat, he makes every stroll a priority! You might notice he tends to stay on your left side, as he can only see out of his right eye due to an earlier injury. This lovely fellow is house trained, but he isn’t one for confinement; he loves to explore every corner of his home. With a personality that rivals his talent for commentary—think goose honks and raspy opinions—Melvin is always ready to share his view on the world. Health-wise, he has some special needs, including a collapsed trachea and early kidney disease, which require daily medication and special food. His previous dental work has left him with two wonderfully wonky teeth that add to his endearing character. Overall, Melvin is both low and high maintenance; he’s fairly independent yet needs an adopter comfortable managing his medications. His unique personality and adorable quirks make him truly deserving of a loving forever home. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and let's get started.
