Lizzie is a 4-year-old spayed female Shih Tzu/Terrier mix. A retired puppy mill mama, she was surrendered to our care and is starting to discover a loving home. Lizzie is gentle and sweet, though she can be a bit timid due to her past experiences. Everything is new for her, including love. She seeks out pets and enjoys a good ear rub, and she’s been known to sneak the occasional kiss. She has tested well with low-energy dogs, though her compatibility with cats is unknown. One thing is for sure: Lizzie loves all people. However, it’s important to note that she has a tendency to be a flight risk. She is progressing well with potty training and basic commands, proving to be quite smart and eager to please. Daily walks are a favorite of hers, and she’s gentle when taking treats.
