Meet Suki! This lovely 9-year-old border collie/lab mix is the ideal low-key companion. She's sweet and easygoing, finding joy in simple routines. With her new situation, Suki is learning to relax in her cozy spot and is ready for plenty of love. After her previous owner fell ill, Suki came to North Paw to find a safe haven for her golden years. She’s adjusting beautifully and has clearly been well cared for. Suki is house-trained, crate-trained, and walks gracefully on leash without pulling or barking at others. Her walks are best kept short, around 20 minutes, because of some arthritis and muscle loss in her right hind leg. Daily glucosamine and Rimadyl ensure her comfort. Suki lives harmoniously with children aged 10 and 13 but hasn’t been around younger kids. While she gets along with another dog, she prefers calm companions and would thrive as the only dog or with a respectful one. She has a history of living with cats and did well with them in the past. One of her favorite spots is her crate, which she often chooses for peaceful naps.
