Gracie
AvailableGracie is a 4-and-a-half-year-old, medium-sized, short-coated female, spayed and vaccinated, living in Belmont, NY. She is a Border Collie and Australian Cattle Dog mix and has special needs due to blindness. Gracie is known for her affectionate nature and has adjusted remarkably well to her new routine.
About Gracie
Gracie and her sister Katie lost their home when their owner couldn't care for them anymore. Both are blind, which made finding rescue space even harder, but a lucky break opened spots just in time before euthanasia became a real risk. At first, Gracie and Katie were uncertain and kept to themselves, struggling with all the new sounds and smells. Slowly, they started relaxing, learned to trust the staff, and built a routine with gentle walks and time in the play yard. Now, Gracie lights up at familiar voices, seeks out affection, and even hands out doggy kisses. She loves chin scratches and her playful, affectionate side is shining through. Gracie and Katie need a patient, understanding adopter willing to keep them together, as they're a bonded pair. At three years old, Gracie is still young and full of personality, eager to settle into a home where she can feel safe and loved. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
